The Trustees of the Institute form the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the Institute and its members are drawn from and appointed by the Council.
The primary role of the Board of Trustees is to establish and review the policies, strategy and business plans of the Institute ensuring that the objects of the Institute and its charitable status are upheld, subject only to the constraints of the Royal Charter and By-laws. The Board of Trustees has responsibility for the assets of the Institute, the investment of the Institute’s portfolio and for liaison with the Memorial Fund Committee of Management.
